So i just got done building my boiler. I am having a problem with the aquastat. I have it set to shut the blower off at 180, but the blower wont kick back on untill the water temp drops to 140. Does this mean the aquastat is no good or is this a normal temp range.

It probably has adjustable difference so if it dorder it has a 40 degree right now and should change it to smaller number cause don't want it to get really below 145. If its not adjustable i would get a new one that is .i recomend johnson a419 is a good one

I dont see anyway to adjust the 40 degree difference, just hi limit and lo limit. it is from a old boiler that was in a house since 1965. I will look and see what the model is.

Ayuh,...   Some of the newer aqua-stats can be adjusted for their temp differential,...
The 1s I bought adjust from 15° to 30° differential...

Got mine to open the draft at 175°, 'n close the draft at 195°....
The over-run, before it cools down might bring it up to 200° or so, dependin' on whether the house is callin' for heat....

My boiler is a pressurized system...

Pretty sure it might have a high limit built into it,
I know some places but a high limit in of 180-190 and then it won't kick back on til 140

But it may be defective
