They just went to the same school of journalism as anyone working at abc news, cnn, nbc, mslsd and a whole host of others. If the facts don't fit YOUR narrative than just leave them out.

I lost all respect for all network news when they started making things up to suit their narrative.  Examples;  Exploding Chevy trucks (NBC) and George W. Bush (CBS Dan Rather), CNN (Need I say more?).  Roger

I'm not sure what to think of this Hawken Newsletter they keep sending out.  It seems a lot like "fake news" to me.

EPA Ban On Outdoor Boilers

PLEASE REMEMBER that the EPA has now BANNED outdoor wood boilers. Therefore...Once your boiler reaches its end of life...which hopefully will not be for decades,

...YOUR DAYS OF SAVING MONEY BY BURNING WOOD WILL BE OVER!

We want to help you keep your boiler running for several more decades - helping you SAVE money for many years to come.
This is why we spend so much time on providing YOU operating tips, maintenance information, and other valuable resources to keep your outdoor wood boiler healthy and durable.

Don't miss our breaking new report on steps you can take NOW to increase the life expectancy of your outdoor boiler.  Click HERE to read this report.

For more information on the EPA rules on wood burning, click HERE. As you will see, most boilers are banned effective January 2016, and the remainder as of January 2020. Some claim to meet the 2020 "particulate" standard, but do not meet the other 2020 emissions limits. The technology does not appear to exist to meet all 2020 rules, hence the EPA has effectively banned outdoor boilers.

Yeah the Hawken / Boiler Care newsletters just about jam that liquid armor down your throat. BUY liquid armor......BUY Liquid armor......!!!!! Geez................

Did the Hawken email directory get sold to a third party? I am getting emails everyday. Even after I place each one into the junk emails folder and block the sender. The sending email address changes by a little bit each time. The email is full of links.

Here is an example of the sending email address, notice "on behalf of": <Warren=HawkenEnergy.com@mail135.atl81.rsgsv.net>on behalf of; CEO of Outdoor Boiler Care <Warren@HawkenEnergy.com>

Dirty s.o.b. has zero respect for others.

The truth is, I had never signed up for anything at Hawken or purchased their products. So, who gave or sold my email address to the sender of these bothersome emails?

Homerglide, I just noticed what brand boiler you use, I sold a few of them years ago and have lost track of them, how do you like it and how long have you had it?

Got the boiler in February of 2013. It has performed admirably from new to now. I have made a few modifications that were nothing more than a personal preference and am sure it would have done just as well in the stock form. Had just one issue at the start but was made right in a hurry by the seller (Zenon of NewHorizons). The problem was a pinched wire in the blowers electrical box that shorted out. Quickly remedied and been running well since.

Good to know, it seemed like a good unit, I never had any serious issues with them but our OWBs took off and the indoor market seemed to dry up so we never chased them.

I am assuming they bought some of the partially completed units from their auction and are finishing them but that is just a wild guess.
Or maybe they are getting them from dealers that have had them sitting. There is a dealer I drive past every now and then that has had 3 sitting there since before Hawkens went bankrupt.
