Hope this helps someone else.  My CB 2400 died at midnight yesterday, barrel fuse burned out, replaced, and you guessed it, gone again.
In the am contacted CB dealer, who sent me a trouble shoot sheet, (5) pages, which made it so much easier.  Turned out to be my 110 volt/24 volt transformer.
An OHM meeter a must, but for $25 for the part, and help from my CB dealer, back in business. Had my boiler for five years, my elect. said, " not uncommon for transformers like this to burn out".  Thank you the Central Boiler Dealer in Ossippee NH.

The part I needed I got at my local electric supply house.  Very common transformer used in heating systems  $27 and change.  Good luck

It would be 24 AC, to get DC you need a rectifier much like a battery charger uses.

If you have a well stocked hardware store in the area they should also handle a 120 to 24 volt transformer. A transformer is a transformer, however the mounting holes might be different.
