I've been watching this and a few other posts about this winter's weather. Haven't said much because 1. Don't want to rub it in. 2. Don't want to jinx myself.
We have had 4 inches of snow total all season. Two 1 inchers and 1 2 incher. They all melted within 2 days. The forcast for the next 10 days has 7 days over 60 and 3 over 70. Never seen anything like it. I know, I know. A lot of winter left. We could get hammered with snow in March, that is when our biggest snowfalls come. We had frost in the ground for about 4 weeks from late Dec. to Late Jan. It's all gone now. No mud to deal with because no snow. We're getting cows off the crop fields so as not to pack the soil.
I'm behind you guys all the way. Be careful and stay safe with all that snow you're dealing with. Good luck.

According to the skidoo reports our part of Ontario has had more than its share of snow resulting in 24" on our lawn but the next week will be above 0 every day... Its 5 degrees and sunny now, the wife is using the clothes line for the first time in a month..

You guys got it all wrong. I live in WIS. Usually have bad winters. In fact, when I was nee high to a grasshopper, it was nothing for the temp. to get to 30 below F. for a week straight, and berried in snow. A couple of years ago, we were getting 6-8" of snow ever other day. I had snow piled up almost 20' high and 40' long. This year I bough a 72" rear snowblower for my tractor, usually only used a blade, what a difference. Seems I chased all the snow to the east coast. We are now running, according to the weatherman, about 2'-3' below normal. Sure glad I bought a snowblower.

I bought a Frontier, sold by John Deere. I got a good deal on a new leftover 2016 model. Only got to try it a couple of times and the snow was wet and heavy. I could not believe how far this blower blew the snow. Works better then I could have ever imagine. Paid $3750, had a hydraulic turn spout and a hydraulic spout deflector.

I have the same one for my 1025r.  It is amazing how far you can chuck snow with it.  I waxed up the inside and the chute real well and it isn't hard to chuck snow 30 feet!

I have a 6ft Erskine on the front of my JD 4500.  Due to a neck problem it prevents me from craning my head around for more than a couple of minutes.  If I did, I'd be in such agony that I can't stand it.  Granted the Erskine is pricey but for me it's worth it.  And, that thing will toss the snow out of the way.

I can't remember the last time I saw snow disappear as quickly as it has this year.  After this cold snap we're experiencing, it's supposed to warm into the 40's and 50's again starting Monday.  Roger
