mlappin, didn't you also change furnaces at the time you changed pipe, and now have more recovery in the furnace?

Hmm….gotta think about that.

I got rear ended in the fall of 2014, and paid for help to wrestle the Logstor into the trench. Didn’t really pay much attention to wood consumption that winter as if I found a few cheap loads at the hay auctions I’d grab em. No more grass showing in the snow from the boiler to the house though. Wanna say I ran ole smokey the winter of 14/15 then had a G series hooked up the first week of November 2015.

Now that I think about it, pretty much burned up all my waste oil reserves the winter of 14/15 trying to avoid either having to cut or buy firewood.

What drove you away from gassification units initially? Pm had problems with their 250 original gasser and actually totally redesigned it with the new Egr 250 which I have heard good things about. I would also tend to believe the pm dealer was probably trying to burn green wet  wood. Yes the heatmaster dealer is right. You can lt burn green wood but you already understand wood burning and how it works. You wouldn't be teying to burn green wood in your house stove either since it wouldn't burn hot, create creosote and have major smoke. Like I said I think the gs series is going to be close in price to the mfe series which you will save the money in wood pretty quick anyways.

Heatmaster absolutely honors the warranty. They asked me to go look at a furnace east of me in vermont. Made arrangements with the owner. Went over did the repair. Submitted the invoice they were good with the amount and credited my account with it. Also submitted a water sample for him free of charge sense I had the Heatmaster truck delivering thirteen furnaces the following week. Also I was not the dealer that sold the furnace to him. So he is ready for winter.
