Flapper gets stuck

Anyone have any Ideas on how to keep the flapper connected to the blower from becomming stuck?   Seems to come from creosote.

Slide a paper clip onto the flapper which will raise it slightly. I have had one on mine for 2 years. It also helps to keep the fire from going out during warmer weather. Hope this helps.

My earth did the same thing with green or wet wood. Ill try the antiseize good idea.

Mine done that a few times, but I used the paper clip idea. Haven't had it stick since.
