Water line on Central Boiler not heating house
« on: November 21, 2015, 09:11:31 PM »

I just started up my Central Boiler tonight. The temperature on the stove outside is 180. I have a thermometer inside to gauge the water temperature in the house from the line outside. Usually a temp of 180 will give a temp of 150 inside. I filled up the water line outside and I heard the "gulp" in the water line that usually occurs when the air pockets are removed so that the water will heat the house. However, the temp outside is 180 and it is 77 inside and it is not heating the house. Any suggestions of how to get the stove to heat the house? What I am not doing right.

Make sure pump is running.   Do u have a value inside anywhere to open to see if u have pressure.  Even if it sounds like pump is running it could be locked up and not flowing water

If your pump is running but still no heat, we had another CB owner that had an issue wit the thermostats in his thermostatic valve.

"Usually a temp of 180 will give a temp of 150 inside"
"I filled up the water line outside"

I see a problem with a 30 degree drop in water temp......even giving or taking 5 degrees. Also I don't understand the filling of a water line?  I'd say your pump is bad or your air locked.
