Flatplate!!
« on: June 12, 2009, 07:58:19 PM »

Anyone have any ideal what size flatplate exchanger I would need to supply the cold water inlet side of a water heater. I have a 6-plate hooked to the drain and pop-off location like a side-arm, but i do run out off hot water after 2 baths. Been thinking for awhile about adding another exchanger to the inlet of the waterheater. Any ideals????

i don;t know much about them things, if you can't find the info you need on the net,, i would go with about a 30 plate...this would likley assure you water as hot as your furnace is. you could hook it up to do both...deliver on demand as well as siphon like a side arm

Hi just though i would respond to your post about flat plate exchangers i use a 20 plate exchanger in my system hooked up damand to the water heater. I tested it by running the hot water in the shower and the kitchen sink at the same time for over an hour and never ran out of hot water or with a temp change.

                  thanks Ken
