Dayton Blower
« on: July 13, 2018, 10:15:36 AM »

It is that time of year to overhaul/fix items on the OWF. I have a Model 200 Mahoning OWF and have had it for at least 10-12 years. I have replaced various items over the years but have yet to replace the blower because it has worked up until this past winter. No problem I ordered the blower (Dayton Blower) and was ready to install but the damper/flapper is welded to the old blower and not easy to remove. Is there an easy way to remove the damper housing and install on my new motor or is the a damper I can buy that will attach to my new blower? Looking for a way ahead and know you guys have it. Thanks ahead of time!

Here's one I think is right on Dodds website. Judging by the picture they have you might could grind the weld off and weld in on the new one? Not an easy swap. You might could screw something together with self tappers.

E  Yoder - I eventually took your advice and had the local welder weld the damper on to the new blower. All is working well. Thanks
