jeffsa22 - welcome to the forum.  How long have you had your E-classic 1450?  I'm going on my 4th season with my E-Classic 1400.  The 1400 doesn't have the removable corner panels.  Roger

Not sure what never seize is rated at temp wise, I do know it's not near as good as it was. Most likely has been made "environmentally friendly"  which in plain english means it ain't worth a crap anymore.

The temp on the steel can't be that high on the outside near the 190* water filled jacket in the corners with the air blowing thru!I know it's hot but not like in reaction chamber!maybe 500 if that just thinking out loud?

The click and flames same here,I try to look at the firestar when it's been burning on a cycle to heat water and time it when it's in the 3 rd stage burn n not much flame, smoke out the door that's what's nice about the firestar if u have it.

I do think the make a high heat one its cooper color !

Here's the copper

Nickel grade is in the 2000 range    I would say its worth a try can't hurt

When I had my 1450 the creosote runs into the corner and sits on the top lip of the front corner plates if you get that out first that's most of the resistance/your problem I would always pop mine out when it was pretty hot as soon as creosote cools it's much more difficult.    When I wanted mine out I would take the central boiler issued hoe turn on its side the flat part by the hoe and put under the lip of the corner plate and push down against the plate where the door shuts against.  and use as a leverage bar using your  own weight and she would pop out for me   I started using a hammer at first to get them out and it was to hot to  stick my face in there to see and  get a good swing and all that did was bend the corner plate lip it works but not the best option.

Hope I'm making sense

Good luck

Jack
