Maxim 250 burner temp
« on: December 02, 2014, 08:09:51 AM »

Wondering what people have for burner temps when operating in medium.  Mine seems to be averaging between 760 and 820. I have a friend that has the same stove and his are running 1100-1200 in medium. wondering which one is right. My auger setting for medium is 4 green and air is 2 yellow.

If its like any other pellet burner it all about what kind of pellets you are burning try different kinds of pellets and see what you get for temps

Mine usually runs a little hotter than that, but i am burning at four orange for pellet feed. Will soon be running even faster when it gets colder.  The temp is usually 850-900.  Draft would make a difference too, i have a twelve foot chimney.
