Empyre has expanded the pro series line up and is now building a 304 stainless gasification boiler. It is currently available in the Pro 200 and could prove to be the most corrosion resistant gasser on the market. They are retailing currently for $10,495. However at this time they are $1000 off, but only for a limited time.
This is something we started asking for 2 years ago and it is finally here!

What btu is the 200?
-
230,000btu max

Hey Scott, I finally conviced one of the Empire dealers to do the show at Acton Me. with me, he will be burning it right across from me, It's going to be above 90 degrees at the show and between the two of us nitwits we will be dumping about 800,000 btu's all weekend, should be the life of the party don't you think?

Shewwww weeee
Son where are you going its in the 90's? We have had very few hot days! Usually it's a scorcher here all summer but its been high 70's and low 80's mostly. Last week one day it was like 60 degrees at noon and a one night we got down to 42.

Southern Maine, about 30 minutes from home, finally started to cool off sunday, sold a 250 and a chip burner. Hey Scott the Empyre dealer at the show was having some minor issues with his stove and I told him that you may be able to help, may he call you?

Thanks Scott I gave him your phone number.

In the whole stainless vs. mild steel discussion, stainless is said to have less expansion capability. Is that true? And if so, wouldn't a gasser have even more extreme temperature swings due to intense gassification temps?
Many buyers fear the cracking of stainless.
-
Are they using 304 stainless Scott? Even so I wouldn't think a gasser would crack unless its low in water.

This has my inetrest because my all steel 200 series gasser "sweats" inside the firebox a bit through out the day. I have seen 153*F to 177* as the highest and lowest ive seen. Im sure thats when there is a big draw on hot water like dish washer and washing machine/ furnace thats when its going so low? I would assume anways that thats the big draw.
-
It shouldn't be going that low on temp. When I got my Pro 400 I changed the temp for the blower to come on from 160 up to 170 and that made a big difference. I usually don't see my temp below 165 unless I have a problem with a log bridging or something. Also it seemed to take a week or so before it really got going smoothly.
