Title: expansion elbow
Post by: GUSWHIT on April 21, 2017, 12:24:28 PM
Someone on here used some kind of flexible expansion line for the connection to the logstar pipe where it enters and exits the house to compensate for the growth of the piping when heated up.  I had it book marked at one time, but lost a hard drive and can't seem to find the thread.  I thought maybe it was Sloopy's bl ultimate hookup, but the pictures are now missing in that thread.  Any help would be appreciated.

I remember seeing that one and I think it was under big Sloppys build start to finish if I recall but another way to do it that I use is a short section of automotive heater hose, it fits very nicely over copper pipe, is flexible and can easily handle the presssure.

And possibly most important is it’s very affordable.

Save yourself long term "trouble" and attach a piece of 316 Stainless steel annular corrugated braided process hose from your hard plumbing of the back of the stove to the Logstor entering/exiting the ground.  Just st make sure you order the correct fitting ends on the hoses!  More expensive but a no disappointment proposition.

Thanks for the replies!  Sloopy, Didn't you have a picture of those in your install thread, or am I delusional?
