HeatMaster / Anyone installed a G200 inside?
« on: December 28, 2017, 09:00:11 AM »
Looking to see if anyone has installed a G200 inside of a building yet?  As some of you may be aware of the situation that has arisen for me, I am searching for a model that I can put inside of my shop/garage.  I can safely section off a portion with only a small inconvenience for me and still get everything hooked back up if I can put a unit inside.  Just wondering how it is working out for you if you have done it and also what your insurance company may have said.

Portage & Main / BL34-44 finally up and running
« on: November 29, 2017, 08:00:34 AM »
Well guy's, I finally got it all hooked up and producing heat last Sunday at 3:15 I started the first fire.  Just in time for a heat wave moving through, it was 64 here on Monday and mid 50's yesterday.  I had to open some windows for awhile last night because it was too hot!  It's going to take some time to get it all lined out.
Thanks for all the good posts and support to my questions.

Portage & Main / bl34-44 supply line?????
« on: November 13, 2017, 08:35:02 AM »
Finally finishing my hook up.  I misplaced my directions so I have been searching on line and downloaded the instruction manual for my stove.  The question I have is the instruction PDF shows the supply line coming off the top of the stove and I saw a couple of other posts that indicated that this was incorrect and the supply was supposed to come off the bottom nipples?  What have the rest of you done?  What really is correct?

Plumbing / FIGUREING PUMP HEAD
« on: May 04, 2017, 11:07:28 AM »
I am too dumb to understand these head charts apparently and I have asked 2 of my plumber friends to help get my main flow pumps set up and they both come up with answers different than I can decipher from the literature I have been reading.  HELP, please from someone knowledgeable!
Here is what I have:  OWB, 20' from house then a run to the basement for 52', so the 1 1/4" Logstar comes in approximately 4' below the level of the stove.  I am placing my infloor heat manifolds on this wall for the tie ins.  The main line will then run another 31' to the plentumn on the forced air unit before returning another 31' to the water heater heat exchanger then the 72' back to the stove(103' all together each way).  I will have 2 separate infloor heat manifolds which one will have 9 runs of 275' of 1/2" pex in the basement floor and the other has 6 runs od the 1/2" pex for the garage floor.  Planning on using grundfos-alpha 15-55's for the manifolds, but trying to figure out the best, most efficient for the main line is really confusing me.  Any help would be appreciated.

Portage & Main / expansion elbow
« on: April 21, 2017, 12:24:28 PM »
Someone on here used some kind of flexible expansion line for the connection to the logstar pipe where it enters and exits the house to compensate for the growth of the piping when heated up.  I had it book marked at one time, but lost a hard drive and can't seem to find the thread.  I thought maybe it was Sloopy's bl ultimate hookup, but the pictures are now missing in that thread.  Any help would be appreciated.

Plumbing / Manifold brands?
« on: March 27, 2017, 02:02:57 PM »
Finally getting to the point of purchasing my manifolds for the infloor heat zones in the basement and the garage.  There seem to be quite the variation on prices.  I am looking for premade ones that contain temp gauges, all the fittings for 1/2" pex, flow controller adjustments per line and bleeders included.  I am trying to compare apples to apples in other words.  What have you guys found that works well and your suggestions I should be looking for?
