G series manual footprint drawing correction
« on: October 03, 2016, 09:09:15 AM »

I am in the process of moving my g200 to its new location. When I was  measuring for the boiler lines where the holes are cut in the bottom of the boiler I must have measured 5 times the center to center distance just to make sure I put the lines at the correct spacing since the unreconstructed pex flex really has no give, you have to get the placement exact. Well pad is poured and lines are in place but I haven't moved the boiler over to it yet. Well I was reading through the manual last night out of boredom. The g200 footprint drawing shows the center to center distance of the boiler lines at 21 inches. Well since I wasn't at home to check I about s*** my pants because I had set the lines at 15 1/2 center to center like I had measured. Well when I got home this morning I looked and I was right. The c to c is 15 1/2 not 21. The outside edges of the holes are 21 though. I would be pretty mad if I had bought the boiler and had to go off the drawing to pour the pad before it showed up and be off by 6 inches. I am calling hm today to tell them so hopefully they fix the manual. Hopefully this helps someone from making a mistake.

You are right, that manual is wrong and has made others problems. Hope they have already changed it, but another call can only help them get it right.

2016 manual is still wrong! My 2015 manual also shows the wrong spacing.

We got in a kink with them 6 mo. ago about that very issue, so if there is no change yet they need to get an ear full.

Talked to Ryan at Heatmaster today and the manuals are right now. They did a double check on all G series today and told me they are all correct as of now. I think original G200 cutouts were wider and were changed but the manual blueprint was overlooked, but they got it right now.

Where did they correct it? Just looked at the manual on their website and it still says 21 inches.

OK, maybe they corrected it in there stove manuals but not on the website. I'll check on that.

Just checked a 2016 stove on our lot, manual is correct but website is wrong. Web needs to be corrected as most people are site preping before they get a hard copy of manual. I'll get with Ryan on that.

Yes I agree. Most people grab the online manual to use the dimensions to pour the pad.

I got a new G 200 that isn't shipped yet.  I want to get the pad poured in advance.  I need to know if 21 is correct or not?  Can someone help me?

Hey guys.
When I do a set up I leave it open in the back. Put the back legs to the edge of concrete. Let the stove hang off.
What if customer wants another line to the garage he wants to build. Or the green house and pool that the wife is planing but has not said anything yet. A lot easier to move dirt than break concrete. Just my thought.

I knew I might be moving my boiler when I poured the slab so I left a notch out of the back for the piping. I poured a 6+ inch thick slab on gravel and I'm pretty sure I could move the boiler and the slab to another location if I wanted.

exactly, then if desired river rock can be placed at the back so you don’t have to get under the stove to mow.
