HeatMaster / Re: Air Flow Issue
« on: November 30, 2020, 02:38:17 PM »
Thanks guys...I'll try to check everything when I get home tonight.  It would have to be in the tubes....I know everything else is clear.  The tube cleaning handle moves freely, but it may have some build up that is blocking the tubes.  That's all that it could be.

HeatMaster / Air Flow Issue
« on: November 29, 2020, 09:19:12 PM »
Just started up for the season and I’m not getting a good burn in the bottom chamber. It only gets going when the door is open. Damper is working fine, fan is good, but it doesn’t seem to have the same suction when opening the door.  Must have blockage somewhere I’m guessing, but I haven’t found anything. Any ideas??

Check out my posts.  I had the same issue with the old damper plate.  They sent me the new one, and I have had no issues since.  You can clean the old one and it will work, but it can't be trusted.

You are right again Mr. Yoder....they are sending me a new stainless door.  They said that is an upgrade from my model year.

Also, just noticed these bubbles in the paint on my door.  I don't remember seeing them when I fired it up a few days ago.  Anybody else had this issue?

HeatMaster / Low water switch

Low water light came on when I started up the furnace.  Water level is fine, and the light goes off when I bypass the switch, so I assume that I have a bad switch.  Has anyone swapped out (maybe just clean) the switch?  If so, where is it, and how do you do it?

HeatMaster / Sight Glass

Anybody have a good trick for cleaning the sight glass?  I know the new stoves have an upgrade, but mine needs a good cleaning and I haven't found anything that works so far.

Update....My dealer sent the new air box and I installed it this weekend.  I was impressed with the changes and I hope that if fixes my sticking plate issue.  Was easy to install after I cut off a portion of the air tubes that stuck out too far.  Fingers crossed that it works.

What's the price on a new door?

Is that sight glass upgrade available for the 17's?  I haven't been able to see through mine after about the first 3 months of use.  Nothing seams to work as far as cleaning it.

Just spoke with my dealer again about the damper plate issue and he said that after speaking with his rep, they advised that I extend the length of my flue pipe and put a cap on it.  He said that should fix the problem and if it did not they would move forward with sending a new air box.  He said they think it's getting too much down draft. Thoughts??

Build date was May, 2017.

Thanks to Mr. Yoder, I got the second exchanger installed with no problem.  Tapping into the domestic water line was the key.  Makes a world of difference having both units blowing hot air now.  Too bad that I woke up to a stuck damper plate again this morning.  That is my one complaint about my G200....that damper plate being a constant maintenance item is a bad design.  I cleaned it like new to begin the season and it has already stuck.....it's hard to trust that thing unless you clean it once a week.

It is at the same level as the basement, so 25' below the attic.
