drain water out of 5036 and shut it off
« on: January 02, 2018, 07:32:37 AM »

Our house will be vacant indefinitely.  My plan is to drain the water out of my 5036 and shut it off.  What do you think?

Generally considered a bad ideal as they will corrode faster empty. When you say indefinitely just how long are we talking?

If you drain it be sure to loosen the bottom flange on the pump so it drains out and doesn't freeze and burst.
