very Slow Loading forum pages
« on: March 16, 2014, 06:32:11 PM »

Hi Guys,

I love this forum and I am learning a lot about OWS, however its soooooooo SLOOOOW!!!
It can take up to 5 minutes to load a page? Is this happening to anybody else?
Im not the most computer savvy but I dont have any problems with any other forums.
Maybe its a setting or something I have to change?
Thank You

They seem to load rather quickly for me. A couple of seconds or so

Everything usually loads fine for me.  I use both my phone and a computer.

Time of day matters for me. If all the kids just got out of school all pages will load slow for me.

Try clearing your cache for starters. Sometimes as well I've had it help to completely close the browser and start over.

I'm limited to a 3.5mb  down load speed which is all I can get unless I want to pay for satellite internet.

I mostly use an iPad and everything has worked smoothly for me. I have a problem with pictures tho, if I take them on my iPhone or iPad (no matter what orientation I use when I take them), once I post them they look right side up to me but others see them sideways or upside down. I haven't looked into how to fix that but I don't post many pics for that reason. If I load them from my digital camera onto my laptop then they turn out ok.

What browser are you using?

I use both Safari and Firefox on my mac with no problems.

Have also perused the site on my iPhone 5s, iPhone 5 and iPad with no problems.

Have done this with both a wifi and a 4G connection on the phones.
