Some of you may remember me having some issues regarding burn time with my 4030. I have recently sold the 4030 and have upgraded to the 5036 and I have a couple of questions about adding another heat exchanger to my loop.

My current set up is a 2000 ft house with a 2000 ft basement. As of now I only have my main level being heated by the wood stove. I would like to add a heat exchanger to my basement and a 20 plate heat exchanger to heat my dhw. My first question is will the 5036 be able to handle that load on one loop?  If so, in what order should I heat each one (I.e. water first, main level second, basement last)?  Is this is too big of a load?  is there any way I could put a ball valve on the pipe going to the basement exchanger and only send the water to it when I'm down there? 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I gather that the heat exchanger for the basement is going to be water to air as in a Modine stylye? Do you have a plate exchanger on the existing system now? This is how I would do it!

Currently I only feed a water to air exchanger for my main level. I plan on adding a water to air in my basement hvac unit and also adding a 20 plate exchanger.

I am attaching this photo of how I picture the install. However I'm open to ideas and corrective feedback if this is incorrect. Also I've put letters A-D to assist in feedback of where ball valves should go (or any other fittings for that matter).

Not my Idea of a good install, first is the upstairs heat exchanger above the wood boiler, 2'nd the 20 plate is going to restrict flow on the main loop and 3'rd how do you control excess heat at the water to air heat exchangers both upstairs and down.

I know I'm no expert hence why I am asking so many questions.  If you don't mind, could you walk me through the order of my install?

I have the same boiler as you and dont hook up a domestic water system cuz I dont think it can handle the load.On the coldest of nights I have to race home to add wood cuz the fire is all but out. I work 12 hour shifts plus a 45 min. ride each way.If i could Id upgrade to a 6048 or a gasser.
