You also may still have some air in the pipe. Try closing and opening the ball valve on one side of the pump a few times to try and work it out.

When the owb was delivered the plate was actually sitting on the floor of the back end. I put in a slightly bigger screw than what was there, but obviously not big enough. Not interested in taking it apart right now and I guess no real need for it either.

Wide open as well. The screw holding the plate won't stay tightened so it falls down by itself. Lol. On the to do list in the spring I guess.

I had been heating my house for 15 years with an forced air wood furnace. This is my first winter with my owb and a water to air hx installed in my existing duct work. It heats my house just as easily and nicely as the old system did. I would not go back to lugging wood into my basement and I definitely don't miss the mess that went along with it. See if you can find someone local with the setup you are looking at to see if it's the right thing for you

I agree with you, they should. Doesn't look good on them not fixing an issue that they clearly know about.
Mine landed here July 30th but can't remember the manufacturer date on it.

How about changing the mold shape to include a refractory brick spacer cast into the refractory brick itself?
That is exactly how mine is

Not a chance in hell would you ever catch me using either one of them. Just watching scares the crap out of me

Mine does overshoot a bit like Crow's does. I haven't  had any issues with hitting the high limit as of yet.

I've been running 195 with a 10 differential since day one. Seems to be working well for me so far

Could you post a pic of how you did this? I haven't been getting much condensation lately, but it hasn't been cold either

Thanks sprinter. Without the help of members here I'd still be scratching my head. Lol. I'll check to see if I can find the flow rates on it. I seen another post you commented on that you used ball valves to maximize flow and still get the desired temp. I just may have to go that route if it becomes a problem

Do I need to worry about damaging the o ring when I open it up?

Probably a standard o-ring that can be had at a hardware store
...worse case SILICONE it

I mean if you can't fine o-ring and NEVER want to open it again
Lol. Better than nothing for sure
