Are there bushings on the lower door hinge?  Mine drops about 1/2 inch when opening.

Where are you getting them movement from? From memory I think the door hinges just have round stock that slips through a drilled hole on the boiler side.

Yep, is a hinge loose? I can’t see it actually wearing the pin or hole out.

I figured a hinge was loose and grabbed my tools to tighten it but bolts are all tight. Huh will investigate in the morning when there is better lighting.

Is this on the firebox or the lower reburn door. The lower one is long enough it needs to be adjusted high, not much play can be had or it bumps. Easiest to adjust with two people and an impact.

Will try and adjust later today, couldn't find my mirror to check out the bottom hinge, wasn't laying in a puddle either.

There is a lot of adjustment to both doors. I replaced my gasket in the upper door this summer and it took two of us to get it adjusted correctly but now I have no creosote leaks like I did last year. Also the roller bearing at the lock side of the doors is adjustable as well.

I did put a spacer in my hinge side on the upper door to better center the sealing area in the door gasket. Worked well.

Wonder if a ratchet strap would hold it if you go carefully around the whole stove. Even the door out with little tension. then tighten to your likening ,tighten the hinges and bearings.
   Just a one man show.

I believe Slim posted once about doing it that way but mine is half way in a building so that method is out for me.
