That would be my thought, just giving your dealer a heads up might get you some help, never mind what the warranty states.

Good dealers really shine when there is trouble. I would give him a chance. Look at what Alex has done for d5knapp, or what what Smokeless (Ben) has done even for people he has not sold furnaces to. They are building respect with costumers and with the Mfg. You get respect with the Mfg. and they will try to help you any way they can. Give him a chance. Best advertising they can get.

I HAVE DEFINITELY HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH MY HEATMASTER DEALER, ALEX.

Marty, Eldon, Shepard and a few other heatmaster dealers were also very good support!!

GOOD SUPPORT IS HARD TO COME BY IN THIS INDUSTRY

 Thanks d5knapp, couldn't wish for a better costumer. You gave us all and mostly Alex a chance, and have been most supportive.

I don't think the dealer can do anything. I have already fixed the problems. Over caulking of the main door, and no insulation on the ash door and top clean out door, won't get me anything. And if you think the company is going to do anything, like send me a couple of stainless steel bolts and a can of paint, I got those issues are fixed. I worked for a company a lot bigger than HeatMaster and a little problem like this is just swept under the rug. I don't blame the dealer in anyway. He can't make it rite with out the company OK. I don't expect him to pay for there mistakes. I been welding for 45 years and was State Certified for the company I worked for. Guess I should have listened to the wife and built my own stove. I though I was getting the top of the line stove, but it looks like I just a left over model that they were just trying to unload before the law changed.

You really do still need to contact the dealer you bought the stove from and tell him your issues in detail then hopefully that finds its way to where it needs heard.

Just for curiosity sake, I went and looked at my bolts on my door.  They are the same dull silver luster as the day I brought it home 5 years ago.  I didn't have my phone or I would've taken a picture.
