Yeah, so we had a good time, can't share any new stuff til after we meet with the local dealers. I'll definitely post when I can.  :)
If the EPA/ Congress would figure out when the next step in emmissions comes in (2020 v. 2023) we could plan better. It's hurting the advance of new clean models....
oh, well.

Yeah, spent a couple days out there poking around at the factory last week. I think in general the wood/biomass industry is going in a great direction. Burning clean and simple/ user friendly aren't at odds anymore.
Contrary to what some folks have said the EPA regs haven't killed this industry. :)

I couldn't agree more. Lots of great options out there if your looking to burn wood. Only difference now is your burning a good 30-40 percent less of it, in a much more environmentaly friendly way.

A big thumbs up to the manufacturers for driving this innovation.
Looking forward at what's to come.

10 years ago wood gasification was very much a new murky thing poorly understood in North America. That has changed dramatically and now it's more about fine-tuning for the best experience. Getting all the features right, using the right components and materials in the right places, etc.

If you had access to Free wood would it be worth it to switch to a gasser ? I never had to pay for wood yet and for the most part it’s not much work getting it , I have tree guys bring me wood if they drop off soft wood it must be cut into manageable pieces  when they drop hard wood nothing bigger then my 20” saw can handle. So I asked is it worth it to switch to a gasser?

I hear many saying you will burn 40-60% less wood with a gasser so my answer is Yes. After all if you have to burn less but have plenty sell the rest and pay the unit off quicker..

I've heard a fairly consistent 30-50% wood savings switching from conventional to gasser. The efficiencies vary a bit from model to model if you look over the EPA compliance list. Anywhere from 60% up to close to 80%.
I have yet to hear of any of our customers that made the switch that would go back. And their neighbors think they quit burning wood, with no smoke billowing around.

put it this way.....last year I heated 3000sqft with a 2015 Heatmor 400 conventional and I burned about 12 full cords. This year im heating 4500 sqft and will only be at about 9 cords.

I don’t know ? I can’t justify spending the money for a new gasser right now , it was a no brainer back when I switched from oil , my 6048 paid for itself the first year or two. If i had to pay for wood it might be worth it. But right now it’s not costing me anything and I can throw anything in it , i don’t have to season or stack anything I just pile it next to the burner and throw some wood in and done ✅

Ya, if your getting wood dropped at your door for free, its gonna be hard to justify spending money on a new stove.
