« on: October 07, 2012, 11:55:28 AM »

I am fixing to fire my own up soon and I  have a hot water plate exchanger installed for my hot water anyway do I need to leave hot water breaker on on my hot water heater or turn it off. Just wondered what other users do. I know I ask a lot of questions on this forum and get a lot of great info from you guys thanks for your help!

Don't matter.

I always tell my customers to leave em off in case they happen to be gone a few days, if your not using hot water the 20 plate ain't putting any in, so I don't see a dollar or whatever being worth a cold shower.

So just leave it on, it's not going to kick on anyway

Thanks Scott that was what I was thinking. I got my owb fired up this evening it feels good not hearing. The heat pump kicking in and have a really warm house thought my home. I usually heat my home with a wood stove one my first floor it does good but I can tell this mf5000 is a whole lot nicer no smoke in home or carrying wood inside and cleaning a mess up. And I don't know how much wood my heatmaster will consume since this is my first day enjoying a owb but I can tell you it is now were near as smokey as my old wood stove that thing put out some smoke. I see some smoke out of my heatmaster mf 5000 at times but other times I was wondering if it was running at all just a little shimmer I guess it's how seasoned the wood is thanks for your help!
