Can you peel that off, run some bx cable in that pocket, drill a 3/4 hole in the beam up above the height of where that molding covers and the. A corresponding 3/4 hole vertical up into the beam to bring the power down to a light fixture?

I know most people that see these posts have no idea what is going on and where the strife comes from. I’m not about to put up a history lesson here. You can either think that the one guy taking to himself is the problem or the rest of the posters are the problem.

I generally try to avoid people who talk to themselves on forums. Don’t want to catch what they could have.

Lol. Called a disgruntled ex employee of the company. Sounds like a conspiracy.

Does this g400 have a date of manufacture sticker? Where are you located? Who is our dealer since apparently you have been dealing straight from the factory? When did you receive the letter? Looks like someone hit the 8 instead of 9 on the keyboard by accident?

You want to shoot for a 20 degree drop after your hx when it is calling for heat. You have a relatively short run which is similar to mine. I have 75 feet of logstor and then about 50 feet of 1 inch in the house. With my 24x24 water to air hx I get around a 20 degree drop on speed 1 with a26-99. You may be able to get away with a 15-58 on high. You need to insure though thst when your boiler is at the low end of its set point (160?) that you aren’t returning boiler water back to the boiler below 140 which can cause firebox sweating.

I bet that 100 ran great though heating that many sqft. I can only assume you didn't have a whole lot of idle times which means a nice and dry firebox and very good efficiency.

Creosote formation and moisture issues due to long periods of time idling. I didn't really like the edge because of the two different metals welded together, the manual hx cleaning design as well as historic customer service with CB products from the manufacturer.

You’ll want to shoot for 12 hour loadings which I can’t see being an issue with only heating 1600 sqft in your climate. Not sure if your are expierenced with wood burning or not but you’ll want to be a year ahead on wood and with a g100 you’ll want your splits to be a mix of 4 to 6 inches in diameter.

Living in a mild climate, small sqft and being insulted with decent windows I would think you would want to use a G100 or 350 hands down . How much fuel oil per winter do you use?  I live in New Hampshire and am heating a 3000 sqft 220 year old house and I could get away with a G100 80-90 percent of the time I believe. Like wreckit said, gassers want to run hard, hot and often.

Like Eldon said, you want the air leaving to see the hottest water last( incoming water). Air shouldn’t be to much of an issue to purge out by closing the return water valve at the boiler for 2-3 seconds while the pump is running and then quickly opening it. You repeat this until you don’t hear any more air bubbling back to the boiler.
