Hi
Did you resolve this?  I have the same problem, we seem to be knocking a lot of coals between pea and lima bean size down into the reaction chamber.  I also have a sticking problem with my main vent, allowing air in between boosts, but I don't think it's related - I WD-40'd the solenoids this afternoon and we'll see.  My electrical box is black with accumulated smoke/fine creosote, so I'm getting some form of smoke blowback through that vent too.
still haven't figured this out, if you solve yours please let me know thank you

No, I have not solved this problem. But the solenoid sticking is common with this CB. if you call your dealer they make a replacement elbow with a new selenoid and a spring to pull the cover down when the solenoid shuts off it is cheap and works great.

Changed thermalcouple problem is solved I've been fighting this problem for months, last resort was the thermalcouple and it completely fixed it. The replacement one is a couple inches longer than the original.
