Well, unless you can come up with some different math.  I have almost 11k in this stove, have to take a beating on selling a "used" unit, then turn around and pay 2 k more for a system than I already had invested.  WTF?  This is going to get real ugly for me before it gets better.  Not sure I will be able to see a payback while I can still process my own wood.  Still thinking.

GUSWHIT,you probably have but did you check with your insurance company about putting a furnace inside the garage? The G200 may be used inside but will they let you? I haven't seen this question asked here yet. Insurance providers all seem to have different policies. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Not a stupid question. I know a dealer who's wife is an insurance agent and says she will X any building with a wood furnace in it. If that is your house it could be bad. I would check it out.

Already ahead of you guy's, but thanks.  As long as I separate the area in the garage, like build a wall from the other stuff and don't store anything in it and the appliance is UL rated and hooked up according to spec, everything is great.  In writing in the policy.

I figured that was the case, just hadn't seen it mentioned so thought I'd ask.

Glad you asked.  I'm not taking anything for granted anymore and I want to see it in writing as well!  I'm busy enough like most people and don't have the time to be screwing around doing things twice.  I missed a lot of time this past year I could have been doing something with the family or even doing something to make money rather what turned out as wasted time!

Still for sale.  $8,000.  Probably build  a shed around it if I don't get it gone in the near future but don't really want to go that route.  This is a really great buy for a pre EPA stove with 19 days of usage!

Depends on the insurance company, but here the companies that do insure wood burners inside a structure require it to be UL certified for indoor installations and require a professional install by a company certified in chimneys/exhausts installation.

First, the "building" would be designed to mask-hide the unit only while being aesthetically pleasing on the outside.  The sole purpose is to get it in a building to get around what the ever expanding guberment regulations cover. As for insurance companies, I wouldn't be insuring it.  I'm guessing I can put up a small shed/garage of around 20X20, that would match the house, for $3,000 not counting a cement pad.  But at this point, I may just be better off not burning wood at all.  This adding up to a lot of cash going out.

Any bites on Craiglist? It shouldn't be hard to sell I would think. With the cold winter people are rolling through propane and electric bills are high.
Hope you can move it.

Not 1 phone call from Craig's list or here.  Kind of disappointing.  I suppose people are just getting through the winter now though and not thinking about heating for a while.  Maybe in a couple months there will be some action.  I'll keep you posted.

Just another bump to the top.  Have decided not to build a building around this unit.  Have just disconnected and am storing inside.  Would like to get it sold!
