Yep join the crowd, there are hundred just like you many of whom have took to the Internet voicing there displeasure, google "shaver problems" you'll see many stories just like yours.

They'll start out with promises and eventually go silent.

Sadly, from what I've seen when they go it's not a simple patch job.  But best of luck to you.

Sure, but all they have to say is you overheated your boiler....   I mean there is literally numerous loopholes

There was one guy on here who did get a boiler replaced but it seemed like it took forever, and then the next winter his new one started pouring.

I've seen a lot of pics and they'll be totally eat up, there is a whole pile of reasons that could be but stove design, low operating temp, and crap steel would be good places to start looking.

Yea just read back through here and on other forums, some people wait many months, or longer.  I'm not personally trying to knock them but simply say read around and you'll see.  How far do u live from them?

I had gotten a new stove after my first one rusted thru the bottom, but it wasnt easy.  They even let me upgrade to the 250 from the 165.   It lasted only 2 years,  I had to call about every day and most of the time they wouldn't call back.  Took all summer to get it done.  Then after I got the new one it had also sprung a leak in about the same spot only after a year. You wouldn't believe how much slag is in the bottom of the tank.  Tried to get them to do something about it but got tired of dealing with it and had a local welder fix it right.  I had all the water samples that were good but they kept saying something was corrosive in my water.

Contact your dealer for help. He should go to bat for you and help get things done.

Sometimes they pickup furnaces and take them back to the factory for repair! Not a scam!

My dealer quit shortly after I bought mine so I was dealing with "Weldrite", Shaver directly.
