It works well, I’ve had no issue since I installed it in March. I set the network to private so nobody else tries to use it, not that I’m horribly worried about that. Interesting part is I have a strong wifi signal thru out the entire house now, even the basement. Biggest pain in the butt is running an ethernet cable to it from your router. I just bought bulk cable and already had the tools for doing male or female ethernet plugs.

If you get a repeater, you wouldn't have to run a cable.
If the central boiler interface has a cat5 plug on it, another option would be a set of power line ethernet adapters. That would skip having to deal with the wifi completely.

Actually in my case i tried a repeater, set it outside under the eave, still a wimpy signal in the shop if at all, tried it just outside the shop, still didn’t like trying to send a signal thru metal siding and foil faced insulation.

Would probably work perfectly fine for Roger though as the boiler is outside anyways.

Well, finally!  I got the wifi to link up with my router using the A/P Marty suggested.  The problem was an operator malfunction as opposed to a device problem.  Once I got my head turned around and input the correct perimeters, she linked up just fine.  As a test I ran an ethernet cable over my living room floor, through my kitchen and into the back shed where I placed the A/P unit.  Now everything was in range and she connected beautifully.  Now I only have to figure out how I'm going to run my cable to make it a more permanent install.  Oh well, another problem for another day.  Roger
