Ok I need to know what is the proper place to instal the y strainer in my sytem. My system is real simple. I will lay it out for you ,and then if you guys would give me a few pointers in where I should best locate them.
1 water out of boiler to pump.
2 then feed line goes all the way to plate exchanger.
3 leave plate exchanger then head to furnace.
4 go through water to air exchanger.
5 leave exchanger and then return back to furnace.
Does the orientation of the y strainer matter?or does it need to be in the vertical position?
I had originaly though of placing it before the pump right at the furnce.I then wondered if I could have an issue with it plugging ,and then causing the pump to burn up.So I was think placing it right after the pump.
Or Do I just wait and instal it right before the plate exchanger(DHW) in the house ?
What is your opinions ,and what seems to be normal practice for installing them?
