General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Water to Air heat thicker then 3.5"
« on: October 01, 2014, 02:47:17 PM »
To all,

I have a customer that has a plenum size of 16 x 18. That's 100,000 btu and he needs about twice that. Is there anyone that makes a exchanger thicker then 3.5".

Has anyone ever mounted two exchanger one on top of the other. If so will this restrict the airflow to much as well as the water flow?

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / California going up in smoke?
« on: July 27, 2014, 12:07:38 PM »
To all,

Northern California wildfire destroys 10 homes and almost 4000 acres. I guess the EPA will be there taking samples of the air particles to see if the emissions are allowable!

I think if Wood Furnaces are a problem that this would be a billion times more of a hazard with the building materials going up in smoke too.

I done some reading on the EPA thing and from what I understand they are doing it to settle a law suit, making a deal sort of speaking to settle law suits.

My opinion is that the customers will cut out or by pass the emissions just like they did on the automobile catalytic converters. Then hook back up when needed.

What say you?

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Wildfire and the EPA
« on: May 15, 2014, 12:24:35 PM »
To All,

I guess the EPA will be regulating the fires in California, Texas and so on. They'll probably fine those states that burn the forest and make polluting smoke that's been going on since the beginning of time. Get real!

There is no carbon footprint from wood smoke! What a joke! We need to let our Government Officials know what we think about the new regulations on Indoor and Outdoor Wood Burning Furnaces. They did say you could have a camp fire though! Thanks a lot! LOL

I think this year will be crazy busy at Shaver Furnace.

Order your furnace early as possible so it can be built and delivered in a timely manner.

You want to be sure and get grandfathered in before the EPA changes the rules.

Order now and give yourself time for the install!
