General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / loops slow to heat
« on: December 01, 2018, 04:39:59 PM »
Hello everyone, advice needed, furnace on for last 2 weeks, rads appear to be slow to heat up as well with in floor , but I can notice the rads as I can actually see whats going on with them, pump just replaced and ive bled the loops thru the return taps a few times and each have no air in them, im puzzled, my main loop takes approx. 40 mins for the cast rads to become hot, in the past, it was immediately or close to it, any suggestions, not the pump , no air ..mmmm puzzled.

HeatMaster / wood in front burning up..
« on: February 27, 2017, 08:21:58 AM »
Hello guys, can anyone possibly shed some light on this issue, as of late, each morning the furnace is down in temp, prob around 140-150 and all of the wood is burnt in the front and the wood in back is still remaining, causing the furnace to be calling for heat, fan is on, prob for quite some time, routine is racking all the wood from back to front and add wood , problem solved.. but it should be just idling every morning at 180 this time of year, just wondering if anyone else had this issue and what they did to fix.. thanks alot

HeatMaster / possible air leak
« on: January 12, 2017, 11:37:20 PM »
hello everyone, for the last few days the furnace (mf5000) has been constantly calling for heat when it really shouldn't be, when I go out the wood to the front of the furnace is burned up and the wood to the rear is still there, the furnace has been in operation for 5 years with no issues thus far, just wondering if anyone else out there has had a similar issue, ive been looking and I cannot really locate any holes or air leaks, but im thinking it has to be a air leak somewhere, and that the reason all the wood to the front is burned up, causing the furnace to drop in temp and call for heat...thanks everyone

just curious if anyone out there has rigged up another rear door to their heatmaster , as this one sucks big time, my model is a 2008, however I bought it in 2012, my god its a bad design, its not hinged, it just kind of slides in place with loose insulation behind it.....yeah loose insulation,, drives me crazy...love the furnace tho....

little issue, nothing serious at the moment, so far ive been issue free all winter, perfect heatmaster.knock on wood...however ive noticed that ever time I clean out all the ashes from the tray, whenever the boiler is just idling with all hot ash inside and almost no wood ,it over heats a lot, last night I came home, furnace full of hot ash, temp was 200,this has happened few times now.....any clues....
