Little Stinker
« on: November 08, 2016, 05:51:21 AM »

So this morning around 5:00am, like every morning, I go to step outside to add a bit firewood to the OWB for the day, only this morning I have a skunk guarding the OWB.  I guess he/she/it didn't want me to bug it's new friend.  I waited about 5 minutes for that little feller to get out of the way I could add wood to it.  Now I'm glad I installed those lights.  :)  Man, that would have been bad if I didn't see it first.  Roger

LOL yes we tend to sing when we go outside at night so we do not scare them so bad.

LOL!  I like the idea but the smell would be too much.  I think I'll do what I did, wait until it cleared from the area.  Roger

Nice little pistol if your looking for one, I’ve ran a lot of 22LR thru it already. Haven’t tried any 22 mags as they are pretty salty compared to LR.

Oh man, I'm glad I wasn't in your shoes.  I remember when I was a teenager (40 years ago) we used to have trouble with coons in the corn patch so 2 of my younger brothers would wait into dark of the evening, grab their 22 rifles and wait for them.  Well one very hot and humid evening they saw what they thought were coons, only they failed to notice the white stripe down it's back, and killed it.  It was less than a minute later when they got a whiff of their mistake.  Unfortunately, my bedroom used to be on the south side of the house, the side facing the corn patch.  That night I had to close my bedroom window due to the terrible stench from the corn patch.  It probably goes without saying that I did not sleep well that night due to the heat and humidity and smell build up in my bedroom.   :)  Roger
