Here we go......AGAIN
« on: June 30, 2012, 11:46:45 AM »

Ya' all remember our friend good Carol and her ordeal she had with her 8000 gasser(Humble Apology in an earlier thread)?
Arthur did the right thing by her and gave her a replacement boiler(took about 2 years or more).
Well, guess what. This new one is leaking after only 7 months.
In 4 years they've had two 8000 gassers, and both have been leakers.
She called me yesterday and gave me the news.
She wondered who she might call or what she should do.
I'm at a loss. Any suggestions folks?

I hope Arthur reads this and steps up to the plate to do what is right.

Do you know where it is leaking?  Hopefully it is something realatively simple like fittings or ????.  Or could it have been one turned in for leaking?  WTF? How can this keep happening time and again?  I sure hope the Turples step up and take responsibility.  I keep praying my 5000 doesn't fall victim to the leak monster.

I'd be really interested in knowing where it is leaking as well.7 months would be very fast for corrosion.

If I was in that boat and they gave me another heater I would have sold it and purchased another brand

I agree jonny, the problem is getting them to give you a new heater.  This one took almost 2 years to get the replacement.  Sounds like Miss Carol is too nice though, she wouldn't sell a questionable piece to anyone.  Seems to happen that way to the nicest people.  I am not a pro welder, but I wish I were closer to help her out.
