Title: few pics of set up for the group
Post by: tinfoilhat2020 on March 13, 2018, 09:28:10 AM
attached are a few pics of my set up I figured id share with the group. I installed a X-410 controller with 5 sensor probes and one thermocouple for reading Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT's). Now I can monitor temperatures wherever I go. It came in handy the other night when I had a long day at work. I opened the mobile app and noticed that EGT's were only at 260 and water temp was 6 degrees below bottom set point (165). I new that the stove was out of wood and burning up the last of coals. A quick call to the wife and she did her best to throw some wood in, it was enough to get the stove up to temp until I came home :)

What would a setup like that cost?

If you have internet available you are looking at about $350-400 depending on how many thermocouples and thermistors you want to run. The plus side of going with this controller is that it has many many more options for things in the future. you can hook relays and switches up to turn on barn heaters, close doors, ect. The customer service is also awesome, they were very helpful during the install process with any questions I had.
