Well...it has come time to replace the bottom of my shaver!!!

All of the pictures have been removed, so if anybody has them I would appreciate seeing them.

Thanks

I have had numerous emails from folks asking for advice for their leaking and odor problems...seems a picture is worth a thousand words.

People please don't be fooled by the excitement of saving $$$$$ by using one of these units. Be prepared to work your can off splitting and gathering wood or buying it. Also be aware that you will most likely be repairing the leaks yourself. At least this is my experience.

I have to continually say that all attempts were made to take advantage of the warranty, also all chemicals, testing and maintenance for the unit were followed as recommended, but still leaked due to a faulty weld.

Think long and hard my friend...print my picture and hang it on the fridge...

If you folks are having problems let your dealer know.

Talk to a responsible dealer. A dealer that cares for his customers and helps in every way he can. Dealers that care are rare, call today and order your Shaver Outdoor Wood Furnace. 618-401-0726

You don't know me or my dealer, so please do not tell me what to do. My dealer is top notch, but cannot fix the problems shaver has created over the past several years. My advice would be to switch from shaver while you still have a good reputation. And if you feel so responsible mail me a check for my $200 dollars in labor and $50 in materials. I'm sure Shaver will reimburse you.

Thanks

Did you contact your dealer????

Yes I contacted the dealer...we both spoke to shaver and nothing happened. The bottom line is shaver does not want to repair their problems and will use many excuses to get out of the repair. I treated my water to the very letter, checked it weekly, and had it checked yearly by a local water treatment facility. The problems was not the metal it was a faulty weld on the unit. 3/8 of an inch opening that was insufficiently welded...I fixed it right.

Buyer beware.

Hurry up and run away. Unless you want to repair their junk welds yourself.

According to billy we have a warranty...long story short I fixed their fault weld myself when they ignored the issue...buyer beware.

I don't know if the original poster is still interested in a own, but I would like to say that purchasing a shaver would be a mistake. They produce a sub par product and the warranty is simply not as they say. Mine started leaking after two seasons after discovering the problem it became obvious to me that I may as well fix it myself.

Buyer beware.

A picture is worth a lot...here are a few to ponder. After three seasons I now have a nice water feature.
