Hello does anyone know if supervent twist and lock chimney exstintions work on a heatmaster 5000? I have heard they will and I have also heard they do not so just wondering what the difference there both made by sirlkirk corp just wandering because I can get the supervent for about 50.00 cheaper than one through dealer
-
I'm not for sure, I have different brands here that work but I'd have to look to even see what brand they were, duravent or something like that maybe
-
Well the supervent model will not work with the heatmasters chimeny the one that comes on them is a ultra temp 6" x18" chimney by Selkirk the supervent is made by same company it will not lock together it is just a little wider and not as deep as the ultra temp. Does anyone know we're I can get one 3' long without shelling out 130.00 for one thanks
-
Nope. They aren't cheap. I would guess your dealer is making 20 bucks on that piece of pipe after he pays shipping n such.

Yeah I just like to shop around you know trying to save a little money you know. I got to. Have one so I guess I will get my dealer to order one. I am building a shed to cover stove and my firewood to keep it all dry and connectors and hardware is a lot more than what I thought was going to be but it will be worth it in the end. Thanks everyone for your help on here!

lasor,
did you ever find out what type of pipe you need? I have a G400 with 8" insulated pipe and can't seem to find any around, ordering from the dealer is not an option

Looking to extend my chimney 2 to 3 ft. Is there any advantage or disadvantage over which height I go with?
And here are the 2 part # I have that I think will work for my chimney?
Selkirk Metalbestos 6ut-24 or 6ut-36. Am I looking at the right extensions to fit my stove?

Choose which one you want, it won't affect performance one way or the other
-
Scott are them the right one's that will fit my stove?

They are Selkirk, I just don't have the actual model numbers in front of me at this time.
-
If you come across them let me know please don't want the hassle of having to send it back if its the wrong one.
thanks again for all your help to Scott stoves still purring like a kitten heating my hot water for now, looking forward to it getting cold out.
