I'm still burning. I have some 5 year old wood that needs to be burned but I don't have to much left. My furnace has some black creosote on the walls now and I'm burning some really old oak wood.
I have a friend that has some pine that he wants to give me that is 2 years old to burn this summer. Will that really make my furnace a mess inside????  Or won't it be much worse??  I don't know if I want to think about cleaning it up after I'm finished burning the pine.

Burn year around.  The oil companies are not getting a dime of mine for heat or hot water!

I let the fire go out,and today removed the ashes, oiled the motor, took a water sample and covered the chimney.Turned the gas on to the water heater and will pay the gas co. for the next few months.
