To help weed out non-owners trying to give one brand a good or bad name, would it be unreasonable to require them to write a reply below stating either their furnace serial number, the dealer's name, or the street address to verify the authenticity of their vote? Just a thought.

Personally, I would prefer to trust that nobody would stoop so low as to do that and I think the members here are sharp enough to discount those votes if it did happen.

Ditto, and from looking at the poll form, there really is no proofs built into it to prevent voter fraud. I suppose it could be up to admin discretion which can lead to hurt feelings if a legitimate poll answer was deleted.

Do the global moderators have access to the poll taker's IP address? If so, they could tell if someone created multiple usernames and voted multiple times, unless they used different devices.

Depending on how my devices are connecting to the internet they may or may not have the same IP. I've used my mac mini as a hub when my router was acting goofy.
