Echo CS-361P
« on: March 26, 2017, 10:08:34 PM »

Wondering if anyone out there has an Echo CS-361P chainsaw?

I have a CS-310 and I like it but it just needs a little more poop. It is only a 30cc engine and an entry level model.

The CS-361P is supposedly their professional model and compares to the Stihl professional model MS-201. The Echo on sale is less than half the price of the Stihl and comes with a 5 year warranty versus 1 year for the Stihl. Also beats the Stihl in just about every category in a side by side comparison. Plus both Echo's would take the same chain in a 14" bar.

I have 2 Echo's. A CS-680 and a CS-600. Both good saws and are dependable. Best warranty on the market, 5 years. The 680 has a 28" bar and the 600 a 24" bar. The only difference is the 600 has a decompression valve for easier starting. The 600 is the same cc. as the CS-590 Timber Wolf. The 590 is a lot less expensive than the 600. The only difference is the sprocket drive, and the 600 has more power. The 590 only goes to a 20" bar. I bought mine through https://www.arlingtonpower.com/ . They have free delivery.

My uncle Roger has a cs-600.   He used to be a Stihl man, now he only runs echo.  It is a damn nice saw I must say.  I have had a little echo weed wacker I wanna say it's a gt-1100.  Things been great for years and years.  Used to cut grass at a few different graveyards on the weekends and it's never let me down.  It's retired now hanging in the shed but I'm sure it would run great yet.

Bought the CS-361P with a 14" bar and it is a perfect limbing/small saw. The thing really rips and I probably use it 80% of the time. Glad I bought it.
