Has anyone ever used automotive heater hose from water plate exchanger to furnace exchanger?

Nature's Comfort sells it for that purpose. They say it is much easier to hookup than pex. I am not sure if I like the idea or not but haven't heard of any problems with it.
3/4" hose fits on 1" pex barbs. If you need a lot of it, they sell it in 50' boxes. Your dealer could get it for you.

I have 3/4 heater hose from my plate exchanger over to my furnace heat exchanger and it works great.

Heater hose it most likely more restrictive than pex because it isn't as smooth inside and slightly smaller but if it can be used to avoid elbows so you might still come out ahead with it.
