It's cold out there

Here in Central NH its not quite as cold. It was 10* about an hour ago when I went to load up for the day. It is suppose to get down to -3* Monday night which will be the coldest and then we finally warm up. It has been unseasonably cold so far this year in NH. Temps have been averaging 10-15* below the averages for this time of year. I hope it gets warm soon. When it gets this cold stuff starts to break.

-29 actual with -40+ windchill factor a couple of nights ago here in northern MN.  Gives the stove a good workout

We had -26 for a few mornings recently here in MN.  I'm in N Central MN. A little warmer than swede but not much.  The wood pile has taken a pretty big hit that last 2 weeks...

Been - 20 during the day time highs and - 30at night for the last week straight.. First year using a owb.. Can already see my wood pile is no going to last the whole winter.. Not a good feeling

Hondracer, How's that OWB running for you in these chilled temps?  You had it warm this morning.  I had 5F this morning.  Here in the Upper Valley the temps tied for the coldest night so far.  It's supposed to get around -4 to -5 later in the weekend.  Plus, it looks like snow is on the way for the weekend.  I hope it does, it'll provide some ground cover.   Roger

We're supposed to get some snow tomorrow in central Illinois.  They are calling for 3-5 inches.  Just in time for deer hunting this weekend  :thumbup:

Roger, OWB is doing fine, just likes the wood at these temps. Loaded 5 pieces for a 12 hour run last night and came out after 14 hours and had a few coals left in the bottom. Water temp was at 138*. I usually can get by on 3-3.5 pieces per load this time of year. Hopefully we have some warmer than usual temps later in the year to make up for this.
