You know I usually sit back and just read and try to learn on this forum and I've come to  conclusion that a couple of people on this page (and you know who you are) have the answer to everyone's question!!! You think, anyway. You know, I hope when I'm as old as you someday that I will know everythingabout everything just like you!!!

Jerkash,
Hey that's great, I hope you enjoy your Legend as much as I do !!!   I think it's a great boiler!!!  Also I like your idea about the light when the blower is on. I think I might do that also .  You might want to get one of those digital thermometer's with a probe to put on your hot water lines at some point and have a read out in the house.  I have one of those and you can tell when you start to run out of wood when the temp starts to drop a little and you don't have to go outside and check it very often that way!!  You can stay in out of the weather and enjoy your heat a little longer.  So Welcome to the forum and enjoy the company!!!!!    Also where do you live??

When I bought my Legend I was already set up with my plumbing because I had outdoor corn boiler(junk) before so I had them take the water coil out and credit me for it !  You could do that then set up how ever you want!!

The top is their new web site.  That's probably the one I would use.

The bottom is their old web site.  Both are the same place.

I have had a Legend 6180 for 3 years and couldn't be happier with it.  I'm heating 4800sq. ft. of house and garage 2-50 gal. water heaters and 500 gal. hot tub with no trouble at all. It does a great job, it has the double smoke passage before the smoke  goes out the chimney, it has the fan that comes on blows on the fire by a thermostat, it has a big fire box with a door big enough to drive a Peterbilt through , it also holds 500 gal. of water. It smokes very little, mostly after adding  fresh wood, just like everyone else furnace does.  It may not be the prettiest or the most expensive on the market it just does a good job!!!   Isn't that what we all want??

Engineman,
Talk to Blaine at Wood Boiler U.S.A. They manufacture boilers down by Indianapolis, In. They have a hot tub kit you can buy that works great! I installed it last Dec. and it works great. I'm heating 5000sq. ft. of house and garage, 2-50 gal .water heaters and my hot tub. When we added  the hot tub we didn't even notice a difference in wood consumption!! It's great!
Call Blaine at 1-888-786-8703.   He even has a diagram how to do the plumbing. You will not be disappointed.

                                                                                                                                                                               Koutsman

Great job!!!   I can tell your son sure is proud of his daddy!!!   Now you and your family can sit back and relax and enjoy the heat (especially today). Oh yea but not till after the house is repainted. Right???   Again, Great job!!!

Back in December I decided to try to hook my hot tub up to my wood boiler and I was kind of worried about screwing something up and I didn't want to miss anything up on my hot tub. So after talking on the forum about this topic I liked Blaine's idea the best. I called him on the phone and talked to him for quite awhile. I ordered HE and the mixing valve from him. He sent a detailed diagram of how it should be plumbed and also told me if I had any questions to just call him he even gave me his cell!! Well we put it all together and it didn't take all that long and it is working fantastic!!!!!  I'm so glad to not have to pay the electric bill to heat that thing any more.
Blaine could't of been more professional or more helpful in his task to help me!!!

Thank you so much,
                               koutsman--- Mike
Blaine, Continue to be a great BOILERMAKER!!!
