Title: Wood Storage and Termites?
Post by: braveblaster on April 03, 2017, 04:15:10 PM
Has anyone ran into issues with termites due to the storage of firewood?

I've over 6 cords left over from the burning season and usually will keep out in the backyard until next season arrives. Does anyone has any suggestions to keep termites from getting anywhere closer to the house?

Of course, the home has been treated already but due to the amount of wood out back, termites would be around --- how do you folks deal with it?

Thanks!

I was always told to elevate it so air could circulate and dry underneath, pallets. At least that's what I do, carpenter ants I poison.

LOL......that is if the wood does go in the stove. Seriously though, having that much wood just about 50/75 feet away from the house is something that makes me wonder with termites and all.

My logs aren't split yet, although termites would move around elevated or not, no?.

This is what you need.  No other product will come close to it, period.  It kills, repels and lasts months. It is a professional product so online is the only place to get it.

Use the Cy-kik for stubborn areas like window trim cracks that bigs can squeeze into.  I once sprayed that down into an ant hill and there was literally a coffee cup pile of ants laying on the ground dead the next morning.
