News for our part of the world is saying to plan ahead and order your propane early, anticipating a shortage due to the cold we have had.

Wonder if that's coming this way too... Girlfriend's sister said last night all angry that they spent $900 to fill their 1000 gallon tank from empty, about $1.05/ gal. I paid $1.09 a couple months ago

Do people in your area not get to prepay or contract their price for the year?  I just assumed that every area had this option, kind of locks in your price for the years purchases.

Who's whining? If you're referring to me I know a buck is dirt cheap and feel like an idiot for even burning wood. Just thought it was funny that her sister was all crabby about it when it's cheap as ever. She's 31, but maybe some day she'll become an adult and realize that adult things cost money. 2014 was over $6/gal here and limited to 100 gallons per fill

Sounds about the same as it was here, except I think the highest I heard was $5.25 at a hundred gallons a fill.

We are at $1.06 if you put $100.00 down in August.  This covers your tank rental also if you don't own the tank.  I think they get $.07 gal for tank rental around here.

Filled up in August at 84.9 cents/gallon but I only have a gas fireplace to warm my cockles while watching TV. Otherwise I just "throw another log on the fire" as the song goes.
