How do you guys feel about newer stainless stoves. My old taylor is stainless but sidewalls are paper thin, thats why i was wanting to go steel. It is 20 or more yrs old. But sides are thivker than stainless versions

Im about to pull the trigger on a new stove. Iv been eying a 28-40 for a couple years now to replace a very old taylor 450. Im in nw Pa hour south of lake erie. Usually dont get -degrees f, but if it does its only during nights and 10-15 below. Maby last a few days to a week. 2,800 sq ft house sided n pretty insulated.also wanting to do dhw in series before hx. My taylor burns a good 8-9hours when cold (say teens or 20's).i know the p&m has a bigger box, im just worried about the small water jacket even though its designed for a reason. Think ill be ok with this?

If i use mono t , would i use a mono t on return also?. And do i 't" on return before coil hx or after. My water tank current has a small circ pump already on it, would it be needed with monoflow t ? Im just trying to get it right the first time

Currently i have a 18x18 on my "big" furnace and a 14x16on my "little "furnace. It comes in 1" ,t's and goes 3/4" to hx. And its worked. I didnt realize 3 /4 fed both. I knew it fed the lil one. So i could take 1" through plate hx for dhw then to big hx? And on seperate 3 /4" from boiler straight to lil hx as long asmy pump will pump it correct? I dont have experience with a plate hx.

I'm! Goin nuts here. Putting in new P&m bl 28-40. And trying to figure out best lines to buy as far as size. I have two water to air hx (because of an addition) and id like to do domestic hw during winter. Do i make 1" manifolds supply and return for all 3 ? Or i can buy 1" & 3/4" and do 1hx with d hw in series and put the 3 /4" to my smaller hx. Will a1" manifold in/ out be ok with seperate pumps for each hx?
