Brought my new truck in for service last week. My employees took of with it on some 3 hour road trips for work, called said something wasn't right, I called the dealer, was told it was the tires after rotation, sounds reasonable. Wife took of with it this morning and brought it home after only a few miles, told her what dealership told me. So I took it and ended up at the dealership to let them look it over.

Steering box is completely shot and I shouldn't have been driving it is what they found.
And I had my 4 year old with me.

Not a happy camper today.

Quick fix, only took them six hours. Dam thing has electronic assisted steering.  Great!

Yep, the old last for at least 10 years oil powered power steering units just weren’t good enough so somebody had to be cute and goto electric.

I see a lot of ATV’s and UTV’s have electric assist steering now, my theory is if you ain’t got enough lead in your *ss to steer it then you have no business driving it. Kind of like real bikes still have kick starters and if you can’t back it up then you have no business driving it forwards either.

I would like to sell the thing, but what can I buy without all the electronic crap.
There is no such thing as a WORK truck anymore.

I broke down in RI this weekend with a hole blown through the header pipe on the Magic Bus, we took a soup can out of the trash, cut it to fit and used water hose clamps to seal the pipe, we are now in NY and Ben is bringing home a new head pipe this morning, 230,000 miles on the old pipe, I guess I can't complain!
Perhaps I should buy a few of them and start the conversions, I don't think there is a tougher vehicle on the road!
