I plan to replace the 3/4" steel plumbing on the back of my steel boiler with larger diameter brass fittings. I was wondering any corrosion problems that may develop? I have a free stash of brass fittings available.

steel will corrode before the brass and the brass will cause the steel to corode but at how much faster of a rate i am not sure

Corrosion will occur at the joint between the two unless a dielectric union is used. Brass is better than steel.

brass is pretty much a dielectric union. brass to steel is fine. copper to steel is not.
