WoodMaster / 5500 forced air draft

Just upgraded from a 4400 to a 5500 woodmaster because we added my parents house onto the system.  Do you really think 2 forced air drafts are needed?  I was thinking about unwiring the fan in the back of the boiler.  Do you think this would save any wood?  Do you think it would make a difference?  Thanks

WoodMaster / Not burning good

I am heating for the third year with my Woodmaster 4400.  I seem to be having problems getting a good burn.  The fire just seems to smolder and never really takes off.  I replaced the draft fan this summer.  I have never cleaned the chimney and i have 1 4 foot section on it. Also I seem to have a high build up of soot and crap on the walls.  The handle to pull to allow the smoke to be released pulls hard and does not seem to help.  Looking for any suggestions.  Thanks

WoodMaster / WM Temperature setting differences

I am in my second full season burning my wm 4400 and like most people, I wish i would have done it sooner.  I had a add-on in my basement and love the fact that the wood/mess is out of my house.  I live in mid michigan and have my temp on my stove set at 170 degrees.  I know that the fan kick on at 160 because of the factory settings.  Was wondering if anyone has changed theres to a larger difference so that the fan does not turn on as often.  Thanks
