Webcam link
« on: September 07, 2011, 11:17:17 PM »

Link: http://169.254.224.179:8080/
If asked=User:Guest Password:Guest

During the daylight hours, see if the link works. Too dark at night. It's a Vivotek IP7361. No pan or tilt. Right hand side of photo has our CB5036. Thinking about adding it to my signature.

Thanks for your replies.

Yeah, sorry guys. I'm not a computer guru. I thought it assigned a network usable IP address But it re-assigned my LAN IP address. I'll work on it.

Does this work for you while you are at home? If so, assuming you have a router which connects your home network to the internet, you probably need to "punch a hole" thru it.

Anybody else?

Port forwarding is taken care of by the web host. I just sent them my LAN number 192.168.xxx.xx:8080

No it isn't.
You need to log into your router and open the port.

I can probably help you with this, but need you to answer the following questions.

How are you connected to the internet? Cable modem, DSL, FIOS? (DSL)

What is the brand and model of the Router your Internet Service Provider installed?(Netgear WNDR 3300)

Do you have an additional router between it and your Local Area Network? (NO)

My answers in ( )

Thanks for the offer. Answers in your post ( )

I gave up trying to use a Dynamic server. Setting up my weather station was so much easier as I didn't have to mess with the router.

FYI- The camera comes with software to enable differant communication. (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, ect)
